Empowering Saint Lucia
In 2014, we partnered with Americares as St. Lucia’s health system was in desperate need of medicines and medical supplies. At the time, we did not have the ability to import sea containers of medicines, nor did we have licensed medical professionals on staff. Thankfully, with the help of St. Jude's hospital located on St. Lucia, Americares agreed to help and transported medical supplies and medicines to the island.
Voices United for Justice
We work with Sisters for Change (SFC), an international non-governmental organisation to combat violence against women and girls through legal empowerment programmes, legislative reform, technical assistance initiatives and legal advocacy. SFC works to generate systemic change in how governments combat violence against women, structural change to give women voice and agency in justice mechanisms, and social change to end the social acceptance of violence against women and girls from the UK to ensure the Domestic Violence Act was amended and enacted.
Empower Communities in Saint Lucia
We work alongside Inter American Foundation (IAF), a nimble and transformative U.S. government agency that invests in community-led development across Latin America and the Caribbean. We directly engage local leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs in underserved areas to create more prosperous, peaceful, and democratic communities. This has been achieved through our work towards the establishment of a women-led cooperative & agro processing facility with additional support from GEF/UNDP and other partners.
