We offer medical support for women, children, the elderly and those with special needs who have been subject to abuse.
We protect victims through safe-house accommodation, assistance in finding a new home, and monetary support to achieve independence and economic empowerment.
We provide personal development opportunities through counseling, assistance in job placement, interview training, and self-empowerment workshops.
This project will undertake the construction and equipping of an agro processing facility that will feature a product development laboratory and training center to work with forty women, girls and LGBTQI community members who are victims and survivors of gender-based violence. The goal is to create sustainable livelihoods for the victims, increase their economic and emotional resilience, and to utilize the abundance of fruits and vegetables on Saint Lucia to produce and sell new organic food products with an extended shelf- life.
This project will provide full-time employment for forty women, girls and members of the LGBTQI community. Additionally, another twenty women, girls and LGBTQI community members have received micro grants to begin small businesses such as farming, agro processing, etc. which will provide resources for the Agro Process Facility and support the families with increased livelihoods.
Support and Resources for Women, Girls, Men & Boys from High Crime & Gun Violence Communities in Vieux Fort to Overcome Challenges
Gun violence is a pervasive problem in Vieux Fort town, causing significant harm to individuals, families, and communities. Women and children are often among the most vulnerable victims of gun violence. This project proposal seeks to provide psychosocial support to women and children who have been affected by gun violence, with the aim of reducing the negative impact of trauma on their mental health and overall wellbeing.
